Website still under construction (Getting ready for Christmas)

November 17th, 2011 Posted in News | No Comments »

Christmas is rapidly approaching and we are busy gathering gifts for the children. This year will be a little different as we open our arms to a little school on the other side of the island. They have never received gifts so our local pastor and our school kids will treck across the island to celebrate with these children. We have organized a soccer match and have made T-Shirts that the children get to keep for the occasion. The kids are excited as they will sing and have snacks along the way. We will bring food by boat as well as cake and sweets. I am sooo excited. The children can barely wait. Their local pastor who is organizing this with us is all smiles for he knows how happy these little ones will be to finally open a gift! Pray for this occasion. Pray all goes well and that the weather cooperates. To all who sent in extra funds for the holidays Thank you for your continued support. God Bless you all and Happy Holidays!!!

Website under reconstruction! Sorry for inconvenience

Thank you to all the faithful sponsors who have continued to help these beautiful children at the Good Samaritain School. This summer 2011 was a quiet one. The children didn’t have any visiting groups, but they still enjoyed Vacation Bible School and the games they played. We do hope to have more groups volunteer in the near future to help out with Vacation Bible School. During the summer our website provider Heritage Web Solutions went out of business without forewarning. Most of the information and pictures on this site were lost. We are working to create a new site to keep you posted of the occurences with the students. We appreciate your comprehension and patience in this matter.

Currently we have 7 teachers and 104 students. The school is expanding and we desperately need another classroom. We are currently seeking partners to help us fund this expansion. The prospects look good so we remain prayerful and hopeful. During the summer one of our students passed away while at home due to an unknown cause. He was sent to the hospital on the mainland, but the doctors could not help him. We are saddened by this great loss, but are thankful that at least Shinider was able to enjoy the fun activities the school offered during his short time on this earth. His sister still attends our school and the family is holding up well. Our prayers go out to the Vital family.

Please continue to keep your sponsor child and their family in prayer. They pray daily for you. Once again thank you for your continued support
